BASIC BANANA BREAD RECIPE/BANANA CAKE RECIPE


This is a basic banana bread recipe,which is so simple and easy to make. Tastes and smells absolutely divine. My house filled with very nice aroma while baking this cake. Some ripened bananas starring at from few days and immediately this recipe came to my mind and baked yummy banana bread. I'm so happy that everyone loved it a lot. It turned so soft and moist.This recipe calls for cinnamon powder but I'm ran out of it and I used vanilla essence instead.follow the exact measurements and recipe to bake perfect banana bread.

My 1 cup measures 200 ml

Need 9 by 5 inch loaf pan


Ingredients :


Ripe bananas : Medium size : 5 to 6 or 3 to 4 large bananas
Butter : 100 grams
Sugar : 3/4 cup/145 grams(powdered)
All purpose flour/maida : 2 cups/200 grams
Baking soda : 1 tea spoon
Salt : 1/4 tea spoon
Vanilla essence or cinnamon powder : 1 tea spoon
Eggs : 2
Chopped almonds and walnuts : 1/4 cup(optional)

Method :


Grease loaf pan with butter well and keep a side.

Now take ripe bananas, peel the skin and mash them well and keep a side.

Now take flour, add baking soda and salt, mix it well and keep a side.

Now take a mixing bowl,add butter and cream it well(make sure butter is at room temperature)

Now add powdered sugar and whisk it well until it becomes lite and fluffy.

Now add eggs and whisk it well, if mixture cuddles also no problem,continue the process.

Now add vanilla essence and mix it well.

Now add mashed banana and mix it well.

Now sift flour mixture into wet ingredients and mix without lumps.add nuts and mix gently.

Now pour this into a loaf pan and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 50 to 60 minutes in preheated oven.(preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes)

Now let it cool for some time and demould it and let it cool completely on wire rack.

Slice and serve.

Method :


Take some ripe bananas

Mash them well and keep a side


Take butter in a bowl

Cream it well

Add powdered sugar

Beat it well until fluffy

Add eggs

Whisk it well

Add essence and mix it

Add mashed banana

Mix it well

Take flour and add baking soda and salt, mix it well

Sift flour into wet ingredients


Add nuts

Mix without lumps

Now batter is ready

Pour this into loaf pan

Bake it

Demould and let it cool completely 

Slice and serve!!!!

Veg momos recipe



Momos became one of my favorite dish in recent times. I'm almost addicted to momos. They are so tasty as well as healthy. Momos are traditional dish in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. They are also popular as street food in India.Though it takes some to prepare momos, but it completely worth of time. They tastes absolutely great with red chilly sauce/chutney which I have shared here. I will share more momos recipes in my blog. So, stay connected with my blog and facebook page for more recipes.

Makes 14 to 15 momos

Ingredients :


For dough :
All purpose flour/maida : 200 grams
Salt : 3/4 tea spoon
Oil : 1 tea spoon
Water as needed

For filling :
Grated cabbage : 3 cups
Grated carrots : 1 cup
Large chopped onions : 1
Chopped green chillies : 2
Ginger garlic paste : 1 tea spoon
Soy sauce : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Oil : 2 table spoons
Pepper powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Chopped coriander leaves : 2 table spoons

Method :


First take all dough ingredients in a bowl and knead into a soft dough,cover with damp cloth,rest it for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile to make filling heat oil in a pan,add onions and chillies,saute until onions turns soft.

Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds.

Now add grated carrots and cabbage, saute until mixture turns dry by adding some salt.

Now add soy sauce, saute for few minutes and remove from fire. Let it cool completely.

Now take dough and divide into small equal portions, take one portion of dough and roll it into thin roti by dusting with some flour.(make sure edges are thin)

Now put 2 table spoons of filling in the center,apply some water on edges and make pletes as shown in pic and fold the edge.

Now take any cake mould or flat bowl,place cabbage leaves and put momos in mould.

Now boil water in a pan, and place a stand in it, Now put momos mold in it and cover the lid.

Now steam them on medium flame for 15 minutes and serve.

Take flour,add salt

Mix it and add some water

Knead into a soft dough

Now grate cabbage and carrots and keep a side

Now heat oil in a pan,add onions and chillies,saute for few minutes

Add ginger garlic paste

Saute for a while

Add veggies

Add salt and saute until mixture turns dry

Add soy sauce

Add pepper powder and coriander leaves

Saute for few minutes and remove from fire,Let it cool completely

Now divide dough into 2 equal portions

Shape it as log 

Cut them into small pieces

Take one portion

Roll it into thin roti by dusting some flour

Place some filling in the middle

Apply some water on edges

Make pletes


Now they are ready to steam

Now place some cabbage leaves in a flat mold

Arrange momos in it

Now boil some water in a pan by placing metal stand

Place the momos bowl

Cover the lid and steam it for 15 minutes on medium flame

Now they are done


Serve hot and enjoy!!!!!'
