RAVA KESARI/SOJI HALWA RECIPE


Rava kesari is a popular sweet in India made with classical ingredients like semolina,ghee,sugar and nuts. In north India they call soji halwa. Making this rava kesari is so simple and easy. If you want to eat any desert and want to make quick dish then go for this recipe and make quick and yummy sweet. Whenever my kids want to eat sweets I just go into my kitchen and make yummy soji ka halwa within minutes. It tastes really really good.

Ingredients :

Semolina/soji/rava : 1 cup
Sugar : 2 cups
Water : 3 cups
Ghee : 1/4 cup
Cardamom/elaichi : 4 (crushed)
Dry fruits : 1/4 cup or as per your taste (i used cashew nuts and raisins)
Food color : 1 pinch (yellow or Orange)

Method :

Heat ghee in a pan fry dry fruits for few seconds and take them into plate.

Now add rava and fry on medium flame till changes into golden color

Now  boil water

Add boiling water to rava and stir continuously then add sugar and food color and stir it for few minutes then add cardamom powder or crushed cardamoms then add fried nuts and remove from fire and serve.


Heat ghee add dry fruits

Fry and take them into a plate

In same pan add rava

Saute for few minutes


Boil water

Add boiling water stir it well

Add sugar and cook till sugar melts



Add food color and mix  it well then add cardamom powder

Finally add fried nuts and remove from fire


Yummy rava kesari is ready!!!!!
