CARAMEL CUSTARD/CARAMEL PUDDING RECIPE


Caramel custard is a most popular dessert in all around the world. It has a layer of soft caramel and tasty custard. It is also known as caramel pudding. This caramel custard is made with only 4 ingredients. You can bake in oven or you steam on stove top.

      I often prepare this dish at home.this is one of my kids favorite dessert. You can easily make this at home and homemade caramel custard tastes absolutely delicious.

Ingredients : 

Milk : 500 ml
Sugar : 75 grams + 50 grams (1/3 cup+1/4 cup)
Vanilla essence : 1 tea spoon
eggs : 3

Method :

First take 1/3 cup of sugar in a pan add 2 table spoons of water and stir it. Bring it to boil and caramelize the sugar. (it should become to golden color)

Now pour this into a mold and spread it evenly then keep this a side until it cools completely.

Now take eggs, vanilla essence and remaining sugar in a bowl whisk it well

Now add warm milk and whisk it well for few seconds then strain the mixture and pour it to cooled caramel mold.

Now take a big mold or tray pour water and place this caramel mold in it.

Preheat oven in 180 degrees for 10 minutes and bake for 40 to 45 minutes in 180 degrees.

Now after baking bring it room temperature and refrigerate for 1 hour then put a plate on top of the mold then flip it over and remove mold carefully and serve.

Take sugar in a pan add little water and let it boil

Caramelize the sugar

Pour this into a mold and spread it evenly

Add Sugar to eggs

Add in vanilla essence

Whisk it well

Pour milk

Whisk it well

Strain the mixture

Pour the mixture to mold

Put this mold in water bath and bake it

Let it cool and refrigerate it

Put plate on top of the mold

Flip it over

Serve chilled!!!!
