Banana toffee/Chinese toffee

I wanted to try this banana toffee from quite a long time and yesterday prepared these toffees and it was super success!!!!!!! These banana toffees are very yummy, crunchy caramel coat out side and soft banana inside.

I used ripe bananas which are from my backyard.bananas should be ripe and sweet(not over ripe)

It tastes best with a scoop of vanilla and ice cream.serve immediately after making these toffees.

Try this recipe and let me know how it turns out for you.

Ingredients :

Ripe bananas : 2
Sugar : 1 cup
All purpose flour/maida : 1 cup
Corn flour : 1/2 cup
Baking powder : 1/2 tspoon
Sesame seeds : 1 table spoon (roasted)
Oil for deep frying

Method :

First peel the bananas and cut into rounds or angles and keep a side

Now make batter, take a mixing bowl add maida, corn flour and baking powder then mix it well.now add sufficient water and make a smooth batter without lumps (batter should not be thick nor thin)

Now heat oil in a pan

Dip the bananas in batter with the help of skewer or knife and drop in hot oil.

Fry on both sides and take them into a plate

Now to make caramel, take a pan add sugar and 1/4 cup of water and stir it occasionally
And make caramel syrup

Now dip this fried bananas in caramel and immediately throw them in ice cold water.
(this process should be very fast, other wise your caramel becomes hard) take them into a plate

Now sprinkle sesame seeds and serve immediately with a scoop of ice cream.
