CHAWAL KI KHEER RECIPE/RICE KHEER RECIPE/RICE PUDDING RECIPE



Chawal ki kheer or rice kheer is an Indian traditional dessert which can be served hot or chilled. It has a creamy texture and yummy taste. This recipe was requested by one of my page follower. So I immediately made this recipe and took pictures. Chawal ki kheer and Bread halwa is mostly served in Muslim weddings here in nellore. Chawal ki kheer is also called mutaranjan in nellore. You can even add some unsweetened khoya and more dry fruits for extra taste. You just need few ingredients which are available in your kitchen to make this yummy kheer.

Ingredients :

Rice : 100 grams/1/2 cup(preferably basmati rice)
Sugar : 150 grams /3/4 cup or as per your taste
Crushed cardamoms : 4
Condensed Milk : 1/2 cup(recipe here)
Almonds : 15
Cashew nutss : 10 to 15 (sliced)
Milk : 1 and 1/2 liter
Chironji : 2 table spoons

Method :

First wash and soak rice in water for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile soak almonds in boiling water 10 minutes and peel the skin. Now slice them and keep a side.

Now take milk in a heavy bottom pan and bring it to a boil and add soaked rice.

Now stir continuously for 10 minutes then add all nuts and stir continuously until rice turns soft and mushy.

Now add sugar stir it well then add condensed milk and cardamoms and cook until kheer reaches to thick consistency and remove from fire. (adjust kheer consistency by adding some more milk)

Now serve this yummy kheer hot or chilled.

Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes

Peel the skin and slice them thinly

Meanwhile boil milk in a heavy bottom pan

Add soaked rice

Stir continuously for 10 minutes

Now add all nuts and scrape the edges in between



Stir...Stir....Stir

Stir until rice gets soft and mushy

Now add sugar

Stir it

Add milk maid

Stir it

Add crushed cardamoms

Cook until kheer reaches to desired consistency

Remove from fire

Now it's ready


Serve hot or chilled
