aloo gosh khurma /potato mutton khorma

Hi......today is my 30th post!!!!!!!!! Just started blogging one month before and successfully completed 1 month today.posted 30 recipes in 29 days.......happy to post 30th post on leap year!!!!!!

                coming to today's recipe, it's a lipsmacking recipe aloo gosh khurma /khorma.in my place we call khurma instead of khorma.mutton cooked in lots of Indian spices,curd along with potatoes.
This is our family version, so don't compare with other recipes.

                 This is very yummy and it goes well with paratha,roti,naan,white rice,bagara rice and what not!!!!!!

                   I usually prepare this dish at home and I serve with bagara rice and white rice......try this recipe and enjoy the heavenly taste!!!!!

Ingredients :

Mutton : 1/2 kg
Potatoes : 250 grams (peeled and cut into 4 to 6 pieces)
curd : 1/2 cup
Ginger & garlic paste
coriander powder : 2 tspoon
Green chillies : 2
Sliced tomatoes : 2 (Medium)
mint leaves : 2 table spoons
Coriander leaves : 2 table spoons
Oil /ghee : 2 table spoons
coconut paste : 2 table spoons
sliced onions : 3 (medium)
Cloves : 2 to 3
cinnamon : 2 small sticks
Cardamom : 2

Preparation :

1)first take a pan or pressure cooker,heat oil/ghee add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.

2)now add onions and green chillies and saute for 2 minutes.

3)now add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw flavours disappear.

4)now add tomatoes and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

5)now add mutton pieces and saute for 5 minutes then add coriander powder and coconut paste saute for a minute.

6)now add curd,mint leaves and saute for 5 minutes then pour sufficient water and cook till mutton is 75% done.

7)now add potato pieces and cook till mutton and potatoes are well cooked.

8)finally add coriander leaves and cook on low flame for 5 minutes and switchoff the flame.

Note : add some more water if required.


 add whole Garam masala then onions and chillies saute them add ginger garlic paste
 saute ginger garlic paste for few minutes and add tomatoes and saute them then add mutton pieces
 saute mutton then add coriander powder and coconut paste
 saute well then add curd and saute well
 Then add mint leaves and pour water and cook
 add potatoes and cook well
 now it's done
Yummy mutton potato khorma is ready!!!!

hara masala murg /green chicken curry

Hara masala murg is a very yummy and flavorful dish.few years back I saw this recipe in a cook book and tried this recipe.i was really surprised when I tasted this dish!!!!! Taste was so good!!!!!

                  I started making this dish from there, I always serve this hara masala murg with roti,paratha,jeera rice, bagara rice and peas pulao. 2 days back prepared this dish for dinner and served with peas pulao (which I had posted yesterday) combination was so yummy!!!!!!

                     Chicken cooked with lots of greens and almonds along with curd.try this yummy recipe and Let me know how it turns out for you....

Ingredients :

Chicken : 1 kg
Curd : 1 cup
Ginger&garlic paste : 1 table spoon
Coriander powder : 1 table spoon
Roasted jeera powder : 1 tea spoon
Garam masala : 1 tspoon
Fresh cream : 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
Coconut paste : 1 table spoon
Oil : 2 table spoons
Fresh coriander leaves : 1/2 bunch
Fresh mint leaves : 1/2 bunch
Green chillies : 2 to 4
Curry leaves : 3 stems
chopped medium size onions : 3
Almond paste : 1/3 cup

Preparation :

1)First blend coriander leaves,mint leaves,green chillies and coconut paste in to fine paste.

2)heat oil in pan add chopped onions and saute for 2 minutes and add curry leaves and saute them.

3)fry onions till they changes into nice golden color.

4)now add ginger&garlic paste and saute for 2 to 3 minutes or till the raw flavours disappear.

5)now add coriander powder and roasted jeera powder and saute first 2 minutes in medium flame.

6)now add chicken pieces add salt saute for 5 minutes.

7)now add almond paste and saute it until the oil separates and gravy leaves the sides of the pan.

8)now add curd and cook further for 3 to 4 minutes.

9)now add blended green chutney and cook for 2  to 3 minutes.

10)check if chicken is cooked or not,if chicken is not cooked pour water and cook till chicken is tender.

11)finally add the cream and stir it.

12)sprinkle Garam masala and stir it then switch off the flame.

13)serve hot.

Blend coriander leaves,Coconut paste,mint leaves and chillies into fine paste.


Take pan saute onions,then curry leaves saute them then add ginger garlic paste saute it then add coriander powder and cumin powder saute it
Add chicken saute for 5 minutes add salt
Add almond paste saute for few minutes add curd and cook for 3 to 4 minutes
Add green chutney and saute for few minutes pour water if chicken is not cooked and cook till chicken is tender
Add cream and Garam masala and switchoff the flame.

peas pulao /matar pulao recipe

Peas pulao is a very tasty dish cooked with fresh peas and cumin seeds.we need very few ingredients to make this peas pulao. making peas pulao /matar pulao is easy very easy.

                   This peas pulao well goes with any non veg or veg gravies.i served this yummy peas pulao with green chicken curry.which I'm going to share it soon!!!!!

                      Add peas as per your taste I added 250 grams of fresh peas for 500 grams of rice.you can add 500 grams of peas for 500 grams of rice.

                     I hope you will try this yummy dish and let me know how it turns out for you.

Ingredients :

Basmati rice : 2 cups
Water : 4 cups
Peas : 1 cup
Cumin seeds : 1 1 tspoon
Oil/Ghee : 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Sliced medium size onions : 2

My one cup measures 200 ml

Method :

1)first wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.

2)take a heavy bottom pan pour oil /ghee and heat it.

3)now add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

4)now add sliced onions and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

5)now add peas and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

6)now pour water and add salt, let it boil.

7)when water is boiling drain the excess water from soaked rice and then add to boiling water.

8)Stir it and cover the lid and let it cook,stir in between.

9)after water absorbs reduce the flame and cook for 5 to 10 minutes in medium flame.

10)now switchoff the flame and let it sit for 10 minutes and serve.
Heat oil add cumin seeds and let them crackle then add onions
Fry onions then add peas and saute them
Pour water and add salt
Cover with lid and let the water boil
Drain water from soaked rice and add to boiling water and stir it,cover with lid and cook

Stir in between and when water dries reduce the flame and cook for 5 to 10 minutes and switch off the flame
Enjoy the yummy and tasty peas pulao!!!!!

Masala fish fry

Masala fish fry is tasty and flavorful dish.when I tried this recipe for first it turned really good and I started preparing this recipe at home.

                     This masala fish fry is very yummy and tasty.serve this with onion rings you can't forget the taste.add chilly powder according to your taste.

                   Take any small size fishes for this recipe.coat with masala and fry them.this so simple and easy recipe.try this recipe and let me know how it turns out for you.

Ingredients :

small size fishes : 1/2 kg
Ginger&garlic paste : 2 tspoon
Coriander powder : 1 tspoon
Chopped coriander leaves : 1 table spoons
Chilly powder : 1 tspoon
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tspoon
Lemon juice : 1 table spoon
Oil for shallow frying + 1 tspoon
salt to taste
Garam masala : 1/2 tspoon
Pepper powder : 1/2 tspoon

Method :

1)take a bowl add all ingredients except oil and mix it well

2)take fish and make deep cuts on each fish.

3)now apply the masala to each and every fish well and add 1 tspoon of oil and mix it.

4)marinate for 30 minutes

5)now take a pan add oil heat it and place fish and fry on low flame by turning in between.

6)fry till fish changes into nice golden color.

7)serve with onion rings and lemon wedges.
 Take FISH make deep cuts on it.add all ingredients in mixing bowl (except oil)and mix well.apply this masala to fish and add 1 tspoon of oil and mix well.marinate for 30 minutes
 fry fish on both sides on low flame till they changes into golden color
Enjoy the yummy masala fish fry!!!!!

sunnunda /urad dal laddoo

Sunnunda is my all time favourite snack. This is so yummy and healthy snack for kids. In Andhra this is most popular traditional sweet. In olden days my grand mother used to prepare these laddoos with large amount of minapappu/urad dal/white lentils and ghee.

                      If you eat these laddoos I'm sure you never leave this again.they just melt in mouth!!!!!!

                    Main part to make these laddoos are roasting dal.you should roast it well they are going to be perfect laddoos with nice aroma.

                   We need just 3 ingredients to make this recipe.

                   Try this recipe atleast once and let me know how it turns out for you.


Ingredients :

Minapappu/urad dal/white lentils : 1 cup
Sugar : 1 cup
Ghee : 1/2 cup (melted)

My one measures 200ml

Method :

1)first take a pan add minapappu/urad dal/white lentils and roast them well.

2)stir continuously till they changes into nice golden Brown color.

3)switchoff the flame and let it cool completely.

4)now blend this roasted dal into fine powder.

5)now add sugar and again blend it to fine powder.

6)take this mixture into a mixing bowl and add melted ghee then mix with your hands (if requires add some more ghee)

7)now take some portion of mixture and roll them as laddoos.

8)now yummy sunnunda is ready to eat!!!!
 roast urad dal/white lentils /minapappu well let it cool
 blend into a fine powder
 add sugar and blend it
 Pour melted ghee and mix it well
 roll them into laddoos

Eggless wheat flour cake recipe

A simple and easy recipe of eggless whole wheat cake.this cake is made from whole wheat flour.so,it is very healthy.

                    The texture of this cake is very soft and moist.the taste was so good and yum!!!!!

             One of my viewer requested this recipe and finally the recipe is here.when I first want to try this cake I thought this is going to fail and it will be not at all tasty,but I was wrong the cake turned really well and taste was unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

                  I made a simple plain cake, you can use any flavour as per your choice and if you want add some dry fruits to it.believe me and try this yummy wheat flour cake and let me know how it turns out for you.

Ingredients :

Wheat flour : 1 1/4 cup
Powdered sugar : 1/2 cup
Condensed milk/milkmaid : 1/2 cup
Baking powder : 1 tspoon
oil : 1/2 cup
Warm milk /water : 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence : 1 tspoon

Method :

1)preheat oven in 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.

2)take 6 inch cake tin grease with oil or butter and dust with some flour and keep a side.

3)take a mixing bowl pour oil add powdered sugar and mix well.

4)now add condensed milk and vanilla essence and mix well.(i used homemade condensed milk,check the blog posts for condensed milk recipe)

5) pour warm milk or water and mix it well.

6) now take a sieve add wheat flour and baking powder sift it well, add this flour mixture to sugar and condensed milk mixture and mix well.

9)now pour this mixture to greased and dusted cake tin.

10)bake in 180 degrees Celsius for 20 to 25 minutes.

11)let it cool completely and run a knife around the cake and demould it.

12)cut into pieces and have with a cup of tea!!!!
 mix oil and powered sugar well add condensed milk and vanilla essence and mix well
 Pour milk/water and mix it well.sift wheat flour and baking powder and mix into sugar and condensed milk mixture and mix well without lumps
 you can see the consistency of the batter in pic.pour this cake batter to cake mould and bake it.
 enjoy the yummy tasty wheat flour cake!!!!

paneer do pyaza

Whenever I want to make paneer, I always want to try new dish with paneer. This time I tried this yummy dish paneer do pyaza recipe.i watched some videos and tried this yummy recipe.

                 paneer cooked with two types of onions, one is chopped onions and one is cubed onions.i have also added some fresh cream to this dish,because I love the combination of paneer and cream.it gives the restaurant taste.


                        yesterday I prepared this dish for my dinner,i served this with roti.this paneer do pyaza well goes with any dish.try this recipe and let me know how it turns out for you :)

Ingredients :

Paneer : 250 grams
Medium size chopped onions : 2
Cubed medium size onion : 1
Medium size tomato : 1
Capsicum : 1
Fresh cream : 1 table spoon
Kasuri methi /dried fenugreek leaves : 1 tspoon
Salt to taste
Shahi jeera/cumin seeds : 1 tspoon
Dried red chilly : 1
Kashmiri chilly powder : 1 tspoon
Coriander powder : 1 tspoon
Oil : 1 table spoon
Coriander leaves : 1 table spoon

Method :

1)first blend tomato and capsicum in blender and make a fine paste.keep it a side.


2)take a pan add oil,add cumin seeds let them crackle.break red chilly and add to cumin seeds.

3)now add chopped onions and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

4)now add coriander powder,chilly powder and salt,saute for few seconds.

5)now add little bit of water and saute it.

6)now add blended tomato and capsicum mixture to it.saute for a minute.

7)now add 1 cup of water and cook for 2 minutes.

8)now add cubed onions and cook for 2 minutes.

9)now add paneer ,Kasuri methi and cream and cook for 2 minutes on high flame by covering the lid.

10)now add coriander leaves and cook on low flame for 5 minutes and switch off the flame.

11)now your yummy paneer do pyaza is ready to serve!!!!!


 blend tomato and capsicum into fine paste and keep a side
 heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds,red chilly saute it add onions saute them,add coriander powder, salt and chilly powder
 saute them, add some water saute for few seconds and add capsicum and tomato puree and saute it
 pour water cook for 2 minutes and add cubed onions and cook for 2 minutes
 now add paneer,cream and kasuri methi cook for 2 minutes on high flame by covering the lid

 reduce the flame sprinkle coriander leaves and cook for 5 minutes and switch off the flame
