zebra cake

Hello everyone......when I saw this cake for the first time I was really surprised that how these strips came in cake???? Then I thought it must be very complicated to make......but I was wrong....baking zebra cake at home is very easy and tasty too.         whenever I bake this cake my kids really enjoy this cake.  

                        Making this cake is really fun for me.I love the strips in this cake.this is 2 in 1 cake,we can have vanilla and chocolate cake at the same time.

Ingredients :

All purpose flour/maida : 1 1/4cup
Powdered Sugar : 1 cup
Melted butter/oil : 3/4cup
Baking powder : 1 tspoon
Eggs : 3
Vanilla essence : 1 tspoon
Cocoa powder : 1/4 cup
Warm milk : 3/4 cup

Method :

1)first take cake tin and and grease with oil or butter then dust with some flour and keep a side.

2)preheat oven in 180 degrees Celsius

3)take a mixing bowl and break eggs then start beating,beat for few seconds and add powdered sugar and start beating.

3)whisk it well till it changes into pale yellow color.

4)now pour oil/melted butter, vanilla essence and whisk for 1 to 2 minutes.

5)take a sieve add flour and baking powder then sift it well.

7)now add this flour to egg mixture and gently mix it.

8)now pour milk and mix gently without lumps.

9)now divide this mixture into two equal portions.

10)now take a sieve and sift cocoa powder and add to one part of cake batter and gently mix it.

11)now take greased cake tin and pour 2 table spoons of vanilla batter in middle and leave for 1 minute.

12)now pour 2 table spoons of cocoa batter in middle of the vanilla batter and leave for few seconds.

13)repeat the same process till your batter is done.

14)now bake for  30 minutes in 180 degrees Celsius or till it's done.

15)insert toothpick or knife if it comes out clean your cake is done.

16)let it cool completely and run a knife around the cake and demould it.

17)cut into pieces and enjoy!!!!!




 take 8 inch cake tin and grease with oil or butter and dust with some flour and keep it a side...... Preheat oven in 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes
 break eggs in a mixing bowl and start whisking for few seconds
 now add powdered sugar
 and start whisking......whisk well till it changes into pale yellow color
 now pour oil
 Add vanilla essence
 whisk for 1 to 2 minutes
 take a sieve add flour and baking powder sift it
 Add sifted flour to egg mixture
 gently fold it
 pour milk and mix gently without lumps
 Now divide this cake batter into two equal parts
 sift cocoa powder into one part of cake batter
 mix gently without lumps
 Now our chocolate batter and vanilla batter is ready
 take cake tin drop 2 table spoons of vanilla batter and leave for 1 minute
 now pour chocolate batter in the middle of vanilla batter as shown in the figure and leave for few seconds to spread it



 Repeat the same process till your batter is done
 now bake in 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes or bake till it's done ( if you insert tooth pick it should come out clean)

 after baking let it cool completely and run a knife around the cake and demould it

 Enjoy yummy zebra cake!!!!!
