peas pulao /matar pulao recipe

Peas pulao is a very tasty dish cooked with fresh peas and cumin seeds.we need very few ingredients to make this peas pulao. making peas pulao /matar pulao is easy very easy.

                   This peas pulao well goes with any non veg or veg gravies.i served this yummy peas pulao with green chicken curry.which I'm going to share it soon!!!!!

                      Add peas as per your taste I added 250 grams of fresh peas for 500 grams of rice.you can add 500 grams of peas for 500 grams of rice.

                     I hope you will try this yummy dish and let me know how it turns out for you.

Ingredients :

Basmati rice : 2 cups
Water : 4 cups
Peas : 1 cup
Cumin seeds : 1 1 tspoon
Oil/Ghee : 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Sliced medium size onions : 2

My one cup measures 200 ml

Method :

1)first wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.

2)take a heavy bottom pan pour oil /ghee and heat it.

3)now add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

4)now add sliced onions and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

5)now add peas and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

6)now pour water and add salt, let it boil.

7)when water is boiling drain the excess water from soaked rice and then add to boiling water.

8)Stir it and cover the lid and let it cook,stir in between.

9)after water absorbs reduce the flame and cook for 5 to 10 minutes in medium flame.

10)now switchoff the flame and let it sit for 10 minutes and serve.
Heat oil add cumin seeds and let them crackle then add onions
Fry onions then add peas and saute them
Pour water and add salt
Cover with lid and let the water boil
Drain water from soaked rice and add to boiling water and stir it,cover with lid and cook

Stir in between and when water dries reduce the flame and cook for 5 to 10 minutes and switch off the flame
Enjoy the yummy and tasty peas pulao!!!!!
