Beetroot halwa is a tasty and melt in mouth halwa. It is so easy to make super delicious in taste. Today I'm going to show you pressure cooker Method which is very easy to prepare.I hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you.
Servings : 5 to 6
Ingredients :
Beetroots : 500 grams
Sugar : 1cup/200 grams or as per your taste
Dry fruits : 1/2 cup(I used almonds,cashewnuts and raisins)
Milk : 500 ml
Crushed cardamoms : 4
Ghee : 1/4 cup
Method :
Wash and peel beetroot skin and grate them.
Now heat ghee in pressure cooker add dry fruits,fry until golden color and take into a plate.
Now add grated beetroots and saute for 5 minutes or until raw flavors disappear.
Now add milk and stir it well. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 2 whistles and remove from fire.
Now let the all pressure go out from pressure cooker and remove the lid.
Now switch on the flame and add sugar and cook for few minutes by stirring.
When halwa thicknes add condensed milk,fried dry fruits and cardamoms.
Cook by stirring constantly until it mixture turns to halwa consistency and remove from fire and serve.

Take them into a bowl |

Now add grated beetroots |

Stir until raw flavors disappear |

Now add milk |

Stir it well |

Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles |

Now let the all pressure goes out and remove the lid and stir it well |

Add sugar |

Cook it well |
|
Now add condensed milk |
|
Add cardamoms |
|
Add fried nuts |
|
Cook it well by stirring constantly until mixture thickens |
|
Now it's done,remove from fire |
|
Serve |
