SOYA CHUNKS VEG BIRYANI RECIPE IN PRESSURE COOKER/MEAL MAKER BIRYANI RECIPE

       Ok coming to today's recipe ,today I'm going to share my mom's recipe soya chunks veg biryani. My mom cooks yummy biryani every time. Whenever I want biryani (mostly in dinner) Mom use to prepare this quick biryani. It is one pot Biryani recipe. It takes just 30 to 40 minutes to make yummy veg biryani. Whenever you want to make quick and tasty dish you just go through this recipe and serve with onion raita (click here for recipe) so why are you waiting for ? cook and serve to your beloved ones.

Ingredients :

Basmati rice : 2 cups
water : 3 cups
Soya chunks/meal maker : 1 cup
Potato : 1 large
French beans : 10 to 15
Carrot : 1 large
Sliced onions : 3 medium
Sliced tomatoes : 3 Medium
Green chillies : 4
Ginger garlic paste : 1 1/2 table spoons
Oil : 1/3 cup
Garam masala : 1/2 tea spoon
Chilly powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 1 tea spoon
Curd : 1/2 cup/100 ml
Coriander leaves : 2 table spoons
Mint leaves : few leaves

Whole Garam masala :
Cinnamon sticks : 2 small
Cloves : 4
Cardamom : 2
Bay leaf : 1

Method :

First wash and soak rice for 30 to 60 minutes.

Now cut all your veggies.

Now start with cooking soya chunks. Boil to 2 cups of water add 1/4 cup of milk and remove from fire then add soya chunks cover the lid tightly and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.

Now drain the water and put under running water then squeeze out the excess water and your soya chunks are ready to use.

Now start making biryani.

Heat oil in pressure cooker and add whole Garam masala then add onions and Green chillies saute till onions changes into golden color. Now add ginger garlic paste and Garam masala saute till raw flavours disappear.

Now add tomatoes and saute till they gets soft.

Now add coriander powder and chilly powder saute for few seconds.

Now add all your veggies and saute for few seconds then add soya chunks and saute for few seconds.

Now add beaten curd and saute for 2 minutes.

Now pour 3 cups of water and then add soaked and drained rice.

Now add coriander leaves,mint leaves and squeeze lemon stir it and put pressure cooker lid. Cook till 2 to 3 vissels. Then remove from fire.

Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.

Now remove pressure cooker lid gently mix biryani and serve hot.



Boil milk and water together then remove from fire and add soya chunks

Cover with lid let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes

Add caption

Drain the water

Run under cool water

Squeeze the excess water

Now they are ready to use

Soak rice

Add whole Garam masala

Add onions and green chillies

Saute till they changes into golden color

Now add ginger garlic paste and Garam masala powder saute it

Add tomatoes and cook till they turns soft
Add coriander powder and chilly powder saute it

Add veggies saute them

Add soya chunks and salt


Now add curd and saute for a while

Pour water

Add coriander and mint leaves

Add rice

Squeeze lemon and mix it

Put pressure cooker lid and cook it 

Remove lid after 30 minutes or till steam goes out

Mix gently

Serve hot.

vegetable dum biriyani

Vegetable dum biryani is a royal dish that is aromatic and delicious.making dum biryani is Very easy.

                  Dum biryani is prepared with fresh vegetable and lots of masalas,as we all know vegetable dum biryani is quite popular across the world.one of my viewer requested this recipe.i used my homemade biryani masala in this recipe,Check blog posts for homemade biryani masala recipe.

                I added vegetables like French beans,carrots and beans. You can also add your favourite veggies like, cauliflower,capsicum. We can add paneer too.

Ingredients :

Basmati rice : 1 kg
Curd : 300 ml
Carrots : 1 cup (cut into 1 inch size)
French beans : 1 cup (cut into inch size)
Fresh/frozen peas : 1 cup
Cubed potatoes : 2 (medium size)
Sliced medium onions : 3
Ghee : 1/3 cup
Oil : 1/2 cup
chilly powder : 1 tspoon
Coriander powder : 1 table spoon
turmeric powder : 1/4 tspoon
Green chillies : 2 (Chopped)
biryani masala : 1 tspoon
Lemon juice : 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
Ginger garlic paste : 1/3 cup
keora water / kewda jal : 2 table spoons
chopped coriander leaves : 1/2 cup
Chopped mint leaves : 1/2 cup
cinnamon stick : 2 (inch size)
star anise : 1
shahi zeera /black cumin seeds : 1 tspoon
Cloves : 4
cardamom : 5
bay leaves : 2
saffron /yellow food colour : 1/4 tspoon

Preparation :

1)First take basmati rice wash 3 times and soak for 30 minutes

2)now take a pan heat oil and add onions fry them on medium flame till they changes into nice golden color and take them into a bowl

3)now take a big bowl add all veggies, add all ingredients (except,food color, keora water and ghee).add half of the fried onions and oil which we fried onions and mix well and marinate for 30 minutes( and keep half onions a side.) (take some coriander and mint leaves and keep a side)

4)now take a vessel pour water to cook rice,add 2 table spoons of salt and let it boil

5)when water comes to boiling stage add soaked rice and cook on high flame till rice is 70 % cooked .it takes 5 to 7 minutes

6)now drain the excess water from the rice

7)now take a heavy bottom pan put the marinated veggies and spread it evenly

8)now put half cooked rice on marinated veggies and spread it evenly

9)now sprinkle remaining fried onions,coriander leaves and mint leaves

10)pour ghee and keora water evenly

11) now mix food color /saffron in milk and pour on rice

12)cover the pan with lid and seal the edges with aluminum foil or ata dough

13)now cook on high flame for 3 to 5 minutes and reduce the flame

14)cook for 25 minutes in low flame

15) after 25 minutes switchoff the flame and leave for 10 minutes,then open the lid

16)mix masala and  rice gently by sides

17)serve with raita and enjoy!!!!!!

 fry onions and take them into a bowl
 take your veggies and add ingredients mix well and marinate for 30 minutes
 boil water and add rice cook till it is 70% done and drain excess water
 Take heavy bottom pan add marinated veggies spread it evenly and add rice on top and spread it evenly.....add coriander, and mint leaves,keora water,ghee,fried onions and food colour and cook on low flame
 now it's done ( i used big non stick pan)
 Mix gently from it's sides
 After mixing it.....it looks like this
 Serve hot with onion raita
