I wanted to make Barbie doll cake from long time. Finally made this cake on my elder daughter rida's birthday. Though it was my first try cake turned out perfect. Everyone appreciated me and I feel like I'm top of the world.At first I was really scared to make doll cake,that too with whipped cream frosting But my non dairy whipping cream worked like a charm. My daughter was so happy by seeing this cake. I used my foolproof vanilla cake to make this cake. You can use any flavor and colors as per your taste and decorate as per your wish.I was really tensed while making this cake, so couldn't take clear pictures.I hope you understand.

Ingredients :
All purpose flour/maida : 6 cups/600 grams
Sugar : 4 cups/720 grams
Vanilla essence : 4 tea spoons
Oil : 2 cups/ 400 ml
milk : 1 cup /200 ml
Eggs : 10
Baking powder : 4 tea spoons
Food color : few drops or as needed (optional)
Barbie doll : 1
For sugar syrup :
Sugar : 1/2 cup
Water : 250 ml
Vanilla essence : few drops
Whipped cream : as needed (I used 1 kg of non dairy whipping cream pack)
Method :
First take four , 8 inch cake tins grease with oil and dust with flour or line with parchment paper and keep a side.
Now take eggs in a bowl whisk it for few seconds then add sugar and whisk until mixture changes into pale yellow color.
Now add essence and oil whisk it for few seconds
Now take flour and baking powder in a sieve, sift it well
Now gradually add flour into egg mixture and mix it gently without lumps.then add milk and mix it well.
Now divide this batter into two equal parts add color in one bowl and mix it well then pour this batter in prepared cake tins and bake them for 30 to 40 minutes in 180 degrees celsius in preheated oven. (preheat oven in 180 degrees for 10 minutes)
Now insert a skewer or knife, if it comes out clean cake is done.
Now let them cool completely and demold it. Then wrap them in plastic wrap And refrigerate for 2 hours.
Now take cakes from refrigerator and level the top with knife.
Now to make sugar syrup boil sugar and water for 1 minute and let it cool completely.
Now take one cake and place on cake board or plate sprinkle sugar syrup generously apply some whipped cream then put another cake make a small hole again sprinkle sugar syrup, repeat the same process for remaining cakes.
Now trim the edges on top of the cake and make a dome shape.
Now apply whipped cream well and give it a crumb coat. And decorate cake as per your wish. And place doll in cake. Chill the cake for 2 hours and celebrate your occasion.
Note :
I made batter in 2 batches by taking half measurements.
If your oven is small, prepare batter and bake cakes one at a time.but yes, you need little patience to this. I did the same, my oven is 28 ltrs, so baked cakes one at a time.
You can use any color and flavors as per your choice.
You can decorate Your cake as per your wish.

Wrap them in cling Wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours |

To make sugar syrup boil sugar and water for 1 minute and remove from fire, let it cool completely |

Take out cakes from refrigerator |
|
Whip cream |
|
Level the top of the cakes |
|
Sprinkle sugar syrup generously |
|
Spread some whipped cream |
|
Take another cake make a small whole in center |
|
Place on top and spread some whipped cream |
|
Continue the same process |
|
Trim the edges of the cake and make a dome shape |
|

Apply whipped cream well all over the cake |

Make frills on bottom |
|
Add some color to whipped cream to make rossetts |

Start making rossetts |
|
Fill the gaps with small stars |
|
Take your barbie doll |
|
Place it in cake |

It's all done now |
|
Refrigerate for couple of hours |
