carrot rice recipe



Carrot rice is so simple and easy to make recipe .it is so good in taste.This is perfect for lunch,dinner and lunch box.we can also make this carrot rice with left over rice.believe me it's really good.

         As we all know carrot is so healthy for our body. We always make our kids to give carrots...but they don't want to eat carrots,this is the best way to feed carrots to kids....I'm sure they love it!!!!

Ingredients :

Grated carrots : 4 to 5 (medium)
Cooked rice : 4 to 5 cups
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon
Crushed garlic cloves : 5
Curry leaves : 2 strings
Chana dal /Bengal gram : 1 tea spoon
Oil/ghee : 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Garam masala : 1/2 tea spoon
chilly powder : 1 tea spoon
Chopped onions : 2 (medium)

Method :

First heat oil/ghee in a pan then add mustard seeds,chana dal/Bengal gram let mustard seeds crackle

Now add crushed garlic and curry leaves saute for few seconds then add onions and saute for 2 to 3 minutes

Now add spice powders and saute for few seconds

Now add grated carrots and saute for 4 to 5 minutes by add salt

Now add cooked rice and saute for 4 to 5 minutes and switch off the flame

Now tasty and healthy carrot rice is ready

 NOTE : adjust salt and chilly powder as per your taste

 heat ghee in pan
 Add mustard seeds and Bengal gram
 add curry leaves and garlic cloves
 Saute them
 Add onions and saute them
 now add chilly,garam masala,turmeric powders and saute them
 Add grated carrots
 Saute for few minutes
 Add salt

 Add cooked rice
 Saute for few minutes
It's ready!!!!
