Chinta chiguru mutton curry is a famous dish in both andhra and telangana. Mutton cooked with tender tamarind leaves and we also cook with brinjal or Taro root (arbi,chamadumpa)but this is optional.it is quite popular and desi dish in Telugu states.we love this combination so much.
We can cook chinta chiguru with mutton, prawns and dried fish.these combinations tastes so good.we serve this curry with hot rice. All you need to make this yummy curry is fresh and tender tamarind leaves.
these tender tamarind leaves are available in vegetable marketin this season.if you don't find them in your place pluck them from tamarind tree near your house. I plucked these tender leaves from trees near our house.

Mutton : 1/2 kg
Chinta chiguru : 150grams
Chopped onions : 2 (medium)
Chopped tomatoes : 4 ( Medium)
ginger garlic paste : 1 tea spoon
Chilly powder : 2 tea spoons
Turmeric powder : 1 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 1 table spoon
Oil : 2 table spoons
brinjal or taro root : 250 grams (optional)
Salt to taste
Method :
Heat oil in pan add onions and fry them then add ginger garlic paste saute till raw flavours disappear
Now add tomatoes and saute for 2 to 3 minutes then add all dry masalas and saute for 2 to 3 minutes
Now add mutton pieces a d saute for 4 to 5 minutes and pour sufficient water and cook till mutton gets tender
Now add brinjal and chinta chiguru and cook for 10 minutes and cook on low flame for 5 minutes then switch off the flame
Yummy chinta chiguru mutton is ready!!!!!
