Hi...... Today I'm going to share an easy plain kulcha recipe. Kulcha is very famous in north India and Pakistan. There are different types of kulchas like paneer stuffed kulcha, mutton stuffed kulcha or potato stuffed kulcha. But today I'm going to share plain kulcha recipe. But don't worry, I will share above mentioned recipes in future posts. Kulcha is originally made with yeast and baked in tandoor or oven, but today I'm going to show you, how to make without oven and on stove top. These kulchas well goes with any veg and non veg gravies. Tastes really amazing.

Ingredients :
Maida/all purpose flour : 300 grams
curd/yogurt : 1/2 cup/100ml
Salt to taste
Baking soda/soda bicarbonate : 1/2 tea spoon
Sugar : 2 table spoons
oil/ghee/butter : 2 table spoons
Finely chopped coriander leaves : 1/2 cup
Kalonji/onion seeds : 2 tea spoons
Method :
First take Maida in a bowl, make well in the middle, add curd and remaining all ingredients, (except coriander leaves) and mix it well.
Now add water little by little and knead the dough for 10 minutes.
Now cover dough with damp cloth and rest it for 2 to 4 hours.
Now , after 2 to 4 hours knead the dough for few seconds and divide into equal portions.
Now take one portion of dough, dust some flour and roll it into thick kukcha.
Now sprinkle some coriander leaves and roll it gently with rolling pin.if you have kalonji, sprinkle some on top.
Now, flip kulcha and apply some water on it and place on hot tawa.
Now when you notice bubbles on top flip tawa and roast kulcha until you notice Brown spots.
Now take roasted kulcha in a plate and serve hot.

Now place it on hot tawa and cook until you notice bubbles on top |
Now flip tawa and roast kulcha on other side until you notice Brown spots |
Now it's done |
Serve hot!!!!! |
