LACHHA PARATHA RECIPE



Lachha paratha is a flat bread which tastes really good with any gravy. It have flaky and soft texture. I often make this paratha in breakfast and dinner. I mostly serve this with any non veg gravy. But this time I served this yummy paratha with rich and creamy dal makhni (recipe here). It tastes heaven. When you eat  This lachha paratha it just melt in mouth.Mom makes this paratha in triangle shape but I prefer to make in round shape. You can use oil or ghee to make these paratha because of health conscious you know that these days I'm preparing lots of stuff which contains High calories.  If you follow my step by step pictures you can easily understand and make yummy lachha parathas.

Ingredients :

For dough :

Wheat flour : 250 grams
Salt : 1/2 tea spoon
oil/ghee : 2 table spoons

Oil/ ghee : 2 to 3 tea spoons for each paratha

Makes 4 to 5 parathas

Method :

First take flour in a bowl add salt, ghee or oil mix it and rub it well with your hands

Now pour some water and knead it for five minutes and make a smooth dough and keep a side for 20 to 30 minutes.

Now divide dough into equal portions

Now sprinkle some flour on clean surface and Roll it into medium size and put 1 tea spoon of oil or ghee spread it evenly.

Now fold it into layers as shown in picture.

Now fold it into round shape as shown in picture.

Now let them rest for 10 minutes.

Now sprinkle some flour and roll this into paratha. It should not be thick nor thin.

Now heat tawa and put this rolled paratha on tawa.

Roast it on both sides for few seconds then pour oil/ghee on all over paratha and roast on both sides for few seconds till golden color and take them into a plate.

Now to make flaky paratha just crush paratha with your hands vigorously till flakes separates.

Now follow these steps and make other parathas and serve hot.

Take flour add salt



Add oil or ghee

Rub and mix it well

Now pour enough water 

Knead into a dough and rest for few minutes by covering the lid

Now divide into equal portions

Take one portion sprinkle some flour and roll it

Put tea spoon of oil or ghee

Spread it evenly

Fold it into layers


Roll it like this

Press the edges

Sprinkle some flour

Roll it into paratha

Heat tawa and put paratha on hot tawa

Roast on both sides

Pour oil or ghee

Spread it evenly and roast on both sides


Crush with your hands for flakes in paratha

Serve hot!!!!
