From today onwards I'm going to post Diwali snacks and sweets recipes in my blog. When I thought to post Diwali recipes this aloo bhujia recipe came to my mind. Though we don't celebrate Diwali, I like to share Diwali recipes in my blog.
Coming to this recipe aloo bhujia is a popular savoury snack prepared for Diwali festival. Aloo bhujia is made with mashed potatoes and gram flour along with some spices. They tastes so crunchy and tasty.

Ingredients :
Gram flour/besan/chanaga pindi : 250 grams
Potatoes : 250 grams
Chilli powder : 1 tea spoon
chat masala : 2 tea spoons
Salt to taste
turmeric powder : 1/4 tea spoon
Hing/inguva : 1/4 tea spoon
Garam masala powder : 1/2 tea spoon
oil for deep frying
Method :
First boil and peel the skin of potatoes. Blend them into a fine paste and keep it a side.
Now take besan in a bowl add all remaining ingredients mix it well. Then add blended potato mix it well and make a dough. (don't add water) apply little oil to your hands while kneading.
Now take your muruku press use sev plate, fill muruku press with dough, press it in hot oil and make sev, fry on medium flame until it changes into light golden color.
Fry on both sides and take into a plate and serve.if you want you can sprinkle chat masala before serving.
After bhujia cools completely store in air tight container.

Add chat masala and salt |
Mix without lumps |
Take boiled and peeled potatoes |
Blend into a fine paste |
Add it to besan |
Mix it |
Apply oil to your hands and make a dough |
Take your sev plate |
Fill muruku press with dough |
Press it in hot oil |
Fry on both sides on medium flame |
Until it changes into light golden color |
Take them into a plate |
Serve |
