black forest cake is my all time favorite cake.I wanted to share perfect black forest cake recipe from quite long time here. Finally that time came now. I made black forest cake so many times. Every time it turned out yummy. But not perfect icing.every time I used amul. Fat cream for icing but after some time cream used to melt. But this time I used non dairy whipping cream for icing it really worked. I requested my cousin arshad to bring non dairy whipping cream he bought it for me Bangalore Yay!!!!! Immediately I made this beautiful black forest cake. It tasted just as bakery ones.
making black forest cake is pretty simple. If you have all ingredients in your hand. First we have to basic chocolate sponge cake cut into layers and soak in sugar syrup then frost with whipping cream. I will sure share the eggless version soon. I hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you.
Ingredients : my 1 cup measures 200 ml
For chocolate sponge cake :
All purpose flour/maida : 1 cup
Cocoa powder : 1/3 cup
Baking powder : 1 tea spoon
eggs : 3 (room temperature)
Sugar : 3/4 cup
For sugar syrup :
Sugar : 1/2 cup
Water : 1 1/4 cup
Whipping cream : as needed
Chocolate shavings : as needed
Cherries : 1/2 cup (sliced)
Whole cherries for decorating
Method :
First take 8 inch cake tin grease with oil and dust some flour and keep it a side
Now take eggs in a mixing bowl whisk for few seconds then add sugar and whisk it until it changes into pale yellow color.
Now take a sieve add dry ingredients sift it and add to egg mixture
Now fold it gently , mix without lumps and pour this batter to cake mold.
Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes in 180 degrees in preheated oven. Preheat oven in 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
After cake is done insert tooth pick or knife if it comes out clean cake is done.
Now let it cool completely. wrap cake in cling wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours or more.
Now to make sugar syrup take water and sugar in a pan boil for 2 minutes and remove from fire.let it cool completely
Now level the cake. Cut into 2 or 3 layers. Sprinkle sugar syrup generously on cake layers Soak cake layers well. Specially on edges.
Now whip your cream to stiff peaks.
Take top layer of cake first and add whipped cream generously spread it top with cherries, and cover with other cake layer repeat the process finally put bottom layer of the cake for clean top spread cream well and cover the cake with cream.
Decorate with cherries and chocolate shavings chill it for 2 hours and serve.

Grease and dust flour well to cake tin |

Whip cream to stiff peaks on low speed |

Take cake from refrigerator |

Level the top |

Cut into 2 or 3 layers |

Sprinkle sugar syrup generously |

Soak for few minutes |

Generously Add cream on first layer |
|
Spread it evenly |
|
Spread cherries |
|
Gently place another layer |
|
Repeat the same process |
|
Cover entire cake with whipped cream |
|
Put this in freezer for 10 minutes |
|
Take chocolate shavings |
|
Spread them on cake |
|
Take some cream in piping bag |
|
Decorate as per your choice |
|
Decorate with cherries and chill the cake in refrigerator for 2 hours |
|
Slice it and enjoy!!!!! |
