Bombay Karachi halwa is a traditional sweet dish cooked with corn flour sugar and ghee. It is mostly prepared on festivals in India. It tastes absolutely delicious and just melt in mouth.it takes 10 to 15 minutes to make this yummy sweet.
This is one of my favorite sweet from childhood. Whenever I go to sweets shop with my dad I first order this sweet. I like it's jelly and rubbery texture so month. I prepared this sweet 2 times before few months. My sister in law requested me to make this halwa for her then I immediately prepared halwa for her and She was surprised to see these beauties in her hand and you know what she told??? She told. wow!!!!!! These looks so beautiful and tasty!!! Then why are you waiting for???? go into your kitchen and prepare, serve to your loved ones :)

Ingredients :
Corn flour : 1 cup (100grams)
sugar : 2 cups (400 grams)
cardamoms : 4 (1 tea spoon powder)
ghee : 3 table spoons
Lemon juice : 2 tea spoons
red/orange food color : 1 pinch
Cashew nuts : 15 to 20 (Chopped)
Method :
First take corn flour add food color in a bowl then add 1 cup of water and mix without lumps and keep it a side
No take sugar into a pan add 1 1/2 cups of water, dissolve sugar well then put this pan on heat and boil for 4 to 5 minutes until sugar syrup becomes sticky (no need of string consistency) then add lemon juice and stir it (I forgot to add in sugar syrup so I added lemon juice after adding corn flour)
Now stir corn flour mixture once then add it to sugar syrup and start stirring continuously.
When it becomes glossy and thick add ghee gradually and stir it it well.
Now add crushed cardamom/cardamom powder, cashew nuts and stir it
When ghee leaves pan sides switch off the flame and transfer this mixture to greased pan or plate. spread it evenly with spatula and let cool completely then cut into squares and serve.

Take sugar in a non stick pan add water |

Dissolve sugar |
|
Add color to corn flour |
|
Add water |
|
Mix it without lumps |
|
Put dissolved sugar on heat boil it for 5 minutes |

Add corn flour mixture |
|
Stir continuously |
|
When it becomes glossy and thick |
|
Gradually add ghee |
|
Stir it well |

Oops!!! I forgot to add lemon juice in sugar syrup so I'm adding now |

Now add cardamom powder |
|
Cashew nuts |
|
Stir it well ,when ghee leaves pan sides switch off the flame |
|
Apply ghee to mold well |
|
Now transfer this mixture to greased pan |
|
Spread it evenly |
|
Let it cool completely and switch off the flame |
|
Serve!!! |
