I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I'm getting ready to make yummy donuts.today I'm going to share simple and tasty Andhra chicken curry.making this chicken curry is so simple and easy. We can serve this chicken curry with dosa,paratha, idiyappam or rice.two days back prepared this chicken curry and served with idiyappam (string hoppers) in dinner this combination was so good.this is how we prepare chicken curry in andhra.

Ingredients :
Chicken : 1/2 kg
Sliced onions : 2 medium
Sliced tomatoes : 2 Medium
Green chillies : 2
cinnamon : 2 small pieces
Cloves : 2
ginger garlic paste : 2 tea spoons
Oil : 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
Coconut paste : 1 table spoon
mint leaves : 2 strings
Coriander leaves : 2 table spoons
red chilly powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 1 table spoon
turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Method :
First heat oil in a pan add cinnamon and cloves then add onions and green chillies fry till they changes into golden color
Now add ginger garlic paste saute till raw flavour disappears then add tomatoes and cook till tomatoes gets soft
Now add chilly powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder, and coconut paste saute on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes
Now add Chicken pieces and salt saute for 4 to 5 minutes then add mint leaves
Now pour sufficient water to cook chicken.
Cook chicken till it gets tender by covering the lid
When chicken gets tender,cook on low flame for 5 minutes by adding coriander leaves and remove from fire.
(If your gravy becomes dry add some water and cook for 2 minutes)
Heat oil add cinnamon, cloves and onions |
Add green chillies saute till it changes into golden color |
Add ginger garlic paste saute it |
Add tomatoes and cook well |
Add all dry masalas |
Add coconut paste |
Saute well |
Add chicken and salt |
Saute for few minutes |
Add mint leaves |
Pour water |
Cook on high flame till chicken gets tender |
Finally add coriander leaves |
It's ready now |
Serve hot!!!! |
