VEG SPRING ROLLS RECIPE



Yesterday prepared these delicious spring rolls for iftar by using my homemade spring roll sheets they turned super yummy. They are very crunchy and yummy in taste. I made veg filling for this recipe by using capsicum,cabbage and carrots.you can even add beans and sprouts to this filling.

        I used my homemade spring roll sheets click here for recipe ,you can also store bought sheets if they are available at your place.making spring rolls at home is so simple and easy.you just follow my step by step recipe to make yummy veg spring rolls.

Ingredients :

Spring roll sheets : 10 (click here)
Thinly sliced cabbage : 1 cup
Thinly sliced large carrot : 1
Thinly sliced capsicum : 1
sliced onion : 1 (big)
Soy sauce : 1 table spoon
Pepper powder : 1 tea spoon
Salt : 1/2 tea spoon
Oil : 1 table spoon+2 table spoons extra
Maida/all purpose flour : 2 table spoons

Method :

First heat oil in a pan add onions saute for few seconds then add all veggies saute for 2 minutes by adding salt

Now add soy sauce and pepper powder saute for 1 minute then remove from fire and let the mixture cool  completely.

Take a bowl add maida add some water and make a smooth paste

Now take your Spring roll sheets put some filling in it roll it tightly as shown in the picture.Apply some maida mixture on edges and seal them.

Heat oil and fry them till they changes into golden color

Serve hot!!!!!

Cut your veggies

Heat oil add onions

Saute for a while

Add all veggies

Saute for couple of minutes

Add salt

Add soy sauce

Add pepper powder

Saute for 1 minutes then remove from fire

Filling is ready now

Mix some water to flour and make a paste

Take 1 sheet put some filling in it

Roll it tightly

Fold it like this from one side

Fold it from other side

Apply some flour mixture on edges

Roll it tightly

It looks like this

Ready to fry

Heat oil drop these rolls in oil


Fry on both sides


Serve hot!!!!!

HOMEMADE SPRING ROLL SHEETS




Today made these spring roll sheets to make yummy veg spring rolls. Readymade spring rolls are not available at my place. So,thought to make my own homemade spring roll sheets.I watched so many videos to make these spring roll sheets and I immediately prepared these spring roll sheets.they turned really good.then prepared some yummy ,crispy veg spring rolls for iftar. I will sure post that recipe tomorrow.

       If you can't find store bought spring roll sheets at your home Try this recipe and make your own spring roll sheets as I did today. I used pastry brush to apply batter on tawa. If you don't have pastry brush just put some batter with laddle and spread it evenly.I hope you like this recipe.

Ingredients :

Maida/All purpose flour : 1 cup (120 grams)
Corn flour : 2 table spoons
Salt : 1/2 tea spoon
water as needed

Makes 8 to 10 sheets

Method :

Take all dry ingredients into a bowl mix it well then pour water and make smooth batter without lumps

Batter should not be thick nor thin

Now take a non stick tawa heat it on low flame

Now just dip tissue paper in oil then apply on tawa

Now dip your pastry brush in batter and apply batter all over the tawa

Cook on low flame for 30 seconds and gently take out the sheet

Now apply some oil on each sheet to avoid sticking

That's it homemade spring roll sheets are ready to use.

Take flour add corn flour

Add salt

Mix it well

Pour water

Mix it well without lumps

Make a smooth batter

Heat tawa apply oil with tissue paper

Take your pastry brush

Dip it in batter

Apply like this

Apply all over the tawa

Cook for a while


Gently take out the sheets

Take them into a plate




Repeat the same process

Apply oil on each sheet to avoid sticking

Homemade spring roll sheets are ready!!!!

BRAIDED CHICKEN BREAD RECIPE


Yesterday prepared these braided chicken breads for iftar. I prepare these chicken breads atleast once in a month.these chicken breads looks not only beautiful but also very tasty. Creamy chicken filling inside and soft and yummy bread out side.

          Making chicken bread at home is so simple and easy.but yes it takes some to make these breads.it worth taking time.they will turn so delicious.these chicken breads are perfect for dinner and evening snacks.

         I prepared basic pizza dough, recipe here to bake these breads.Click the above link for recipe and follow the same method to make dough.

Ingredients :

basic pizza dough (click here for recipe)

For filling :

Large chopped onions : 2
shredded chicken : 2 cups
Hot milk : 500 ml
Chopped green chillies : 2
Pepper powder : 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Oil : 1/3 cup
All purpose flour /maida : 1/3 cup

My one cup measures 200 ml

Sesame seeds : for sprinkling
egg : 1 for apply on top

Method :

First start with making dough recipe here let it raise into double in size

Now to make filling heat oil in a pan add onions saute till they changes into transparent. Don't over cook onions.

Now add all purpose flour/maida. Saute till the raw flavours disappear

Now add green chillies saute for few seconds then add pepper powder saute for few seconds then add salt

Now gradually pour milk and mix it well

Now when it becomes creamy texture add shredded chicken and cook for 1 to 2 minutes then remove from fire

Let the mixture cools completely

Now take raised dough punch down the air knead for 2 to 3 minutes divide into 2 equal portions

Now take one portion roll it into oval or rectangle shape place the chicken mixture in middle as shown in the pic and make cuts on sides with the help of knife or pizza cutter as shown in the pic.


Now start braiding and place them gently in lined baking tray give it a egg wash on top nicely.

Now sprinkle some sesame seeds on top

Preheat the oven in 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes and bake in 200 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes

Now enjoy the hot hot braided chicken breads!!!!!

Heat oil add onions


Add flour

Saute for few seconds

Add green chillies

Add pepper powder

Add salt

Pour milk little by little

Saute it

Pour some more milk

Saute well


Add shredded chicken

Pour milk gradually. Make a smooth paste
       
                         
Now add shredded chicken and cook till it becomes thick




Filling is ready let it cool completely

Let the dough raise into double in size

Knead the dough for 2 minutes

Divide into 2 equal portions

Roll it

Put some filling in the middle make cuts on edges like this

Start braiding

Like this

It's done now

Give it a egg wash

Sprinkle sesame seeds

Now ready to go into the oven

Bake it
