ONION SAMOSA RECIPE/IRANI SAMOSA RECIPE


Anyone for samosa here?????!!!!! I know so many hands are rising. Especially for this onion irani samosa right. I'm also a big fan of these onion samosas. Here there is a famous samosa shop which sells very yummy mini onion samosas. I asked my daddy every time to bring those samosa for me in childhood. You know my daddy still brings a pack of samosas for me when he visits my house. Sorry,sorry if you ask me about my Dad and my childhood I will forgot every thing around me hahaha..... Because I'm daddy's girl....

 Ok,Ok I'm coming to this recipe ,as we all know onion samosa is a very popular street snack in India. Nothing can beat samosa with a cup of tea or coffee.Process is also so simple and easy. I have already shared homemade samosa Patti recipe here.  You can also use storebought samosa Patti for this recipe. But I recommend you to use homemade samosa sheets. Because homemade samosa Patti tastes more better than storebought ones.

 Ingredients :

Samosa Patti/sheets : 15 to 20(recipe here)
sliced medium onions : 4
Chopped green chillies : 2
Chopped coriander leaves : 1/2 cup
Coriander powder : 2 tea spoons
Chilly powder : 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
semolina/upma rava or pressed rice : 1/2 cup
Salt : 1 tea spoon
Garam masala powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Oil for deep frying
Maida : 1 table spoon

Method :

To make filling, take onions and green chillies in a bowl add all spice powders,add semolina,salt and coriander leaves.

Mix them well with your hands, that's it ,samosa filling is ready.

Now take Maida in a bowl add some water and make a paste.

Now take one samosa sheet (click here for recipe)make a small cone and fill 2 tea spoons of onion mixture and fold it. Apply some Maida mixture on edges and seal it.

Now drop them in hot oil and fry them until they changes into golden color.

Take them into a plate and serve hot.
Take onions and chillies in a bowl, add all spice powders

Add semolina

Add coriander leaves


Mix it really well

Now filling is ready

Mix Maida with some water and make a smooth paste
Now take one Samosa sheet and make a cone like this

Fill cone with some onion mixture

Now turn and fold it

Apply some Maida mixture on edges

Seal it

Now it's ready to fry



Drop them in hot oil

Fry on medium to high flame

Fry on both sides until they changes into golden color

Take them into a plate

Serve hot....

Yummy samosas are ready!!!!

EGG SAMOSA RECIPE/SCRAMBLED EGG SAMOSA RECIPE


Egg samosa is a quick and easy recipe which tastes really delicious. Whenever I want to make some quick snacks for kids, this recipe will come to mind immediately. It's pretty simple to make with easily available ingredients. I just made some egg bhurji and used as filling in this recipe. I used storebought samosa sheets. But will share homemade samosa sheet recipe soon.

Ingredients :

Samosa sheets : 10 to 12 
Large eggs : 2
large Chopped onions : 2
Chopped green chilly : 1
ginger garlic paste : 1/2 tea spoon
Chilly powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tea spoon
chopped coriander leaves : 1/3 cup
Maida/all purpose flour : 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

Method :

Heat 1 table spoon of oil in a pan.add Onions and green chillies,saute for 1 to 2 minutes.

Now add ginger garlic paste,saute for until raw flavors disappear

Now add salt, turmeric and chilly powder saute for few seconds.

Now break eggs and add to onions and start stirring continuously.

Stir until mixture gets dry,finally add coriander leaves saute for few seconds and remove from fire.Let the mixture cools completely.

Mix Maida with little water and make a paste.

Now take samosa sheet and make a small cone fill some stuffing and wrap it, seal the edges with Maida mix.

Now drop them in hot oil and fry on both sides until they changes into golden color, take them into a plate and serve hot.
Heat some oil add onions and green chillies saute them

Add ginger garlic paste saute it

Add spice powders and salt saute for few seconds

Break and add eggs

Stir it well

Add coriander leaves

Saute well and remove from fire

Let it cool completely

Mix Maida with water and make a paste

Take samosa sheet

Put some filling and wrap it

Apply Maida mix on edges and seal it

Now it's ready to fry

Drop them in hot oil 

Fry on both sides


Take it into a plate

Serve hot

punjabi aloo samosa




Here is my favorite snack recipe Punjabi aloo samosa recipe.i love these samosa a lot. Whenever I prepare these samosas my family enjoys a lot.these are crispy and golden Brown color out and filled with soft spicy potato masala inside.these samosas tastes so good. If you want extra taste just serve with tomato sauce (recipe here) or have it with khatti meethi chutney (recipe here).

         I had already shared my chicken samosa recipe here, today I'm presenting this awesome recipe and more yummy recipes are yet to come,so stay connected with my blog.I hope you like it and give it a try.

Ingredients :

For dough

Maida : 2 cups (250 grams)
ghee : 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Ajwain : 1 tea spoon

For filling :

Boiled and peeled potatoes : 250 grams
Boiled peas : 1/2 cup
Chopped green chillies : 2
Ginger,garlic paste : 1/2 tea spoon
chat masala : 1/2 tea spoon
cumin powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 1 tea spoon
chilly powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Oil : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves : 2 table spoons

Method :

First start with making dough. Take a mixing bowl add all dry ingredients and mix it well then add ghee and mix well with hands.then add water little by little and make a hard dough (not soft) rest it for 15 to 20 minutes

Now take a pan add oil add green chillies saute for few seconds then add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds

Now add all spice powders and saute for few seconds

Now add roughly mashed potatoes and boiled peas and stir on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes then add coriander leaves and mix well and switchoff the flame

Now take small portion of dough and roll it thinly cut into two parts

Take one part put some filling in the middle and apply water on edges then fold it from one side and fold from other side as shown in pictures and press the edges.

Now heat oil (oil should not be very hot) drop this samosa in oil and fry on medium flame till they changes into golden color.

Serve hot!!!!!

NOTE : if you want crispy and golden color samosa, adding 1/2 cup of ghee into the dough is very important

Another thing is you should fry on medium heat for crispy samosa.






Take all dry ingredients

Add ghee

Mix it well

Add water and make a dough and rest it

Heat oil add green chillies

Add ginger garlic paste

Add all spice powders

Saute it


Mash potatoes coarsely

Add potatoes

Add Boiled peas and saute it


Add coriander leaves

Filling is ready

Take small portion of dough and roll it thinly

Cut into two equal portions

Put some filling in the middle

Fold it like this from one side

Fold it from other side like this

It's ready to fry

Fry on medium flame

Serve!!!!
