CHICKEN FRANKIE RECIPE/CHICKEN ROLL RECIPE



Chicken  frankie/Chicken roll is a mouthwatering street food in India. It satisfies not only your tummy but also satisfies your taste  buds. Omg!!!!! I'm getting salivated by writing this post itself!!!!!! Yes, it's so delicious and easy to make. You can serve this In dinner, pack it for your kids or hubby's lunch box. I'm sure they are gonna love it. All you need is, some wheat flour,chicken and regular spices available in your kitchen. So, I hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you.



Makes : 3 to 4 frankies


Ingredients :


For dough :

Wheat flour : 200 grams
Oil : 2 tea spoons
Salt : 1/3 tea spoon

For filling :

Boneless chicken : 250 grams
Chopped large onion : 1
Chopped Medium tomato : 1
Chopped Coriander leaves : 2 table spoons
Ginger garlic paste : 1 tea spoon
Oil : 2 table spoons
Coriander powder : 1 tea spoon
Chilly powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Cumin powder : 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste


Eggs : 3 to 4
Oil as needed
Sliced onions : 1 cup
Lemon juice for sprinkling on top

Method :


First take all dough ingredients in a bowl and mix it well,then add water little by little and knead into a soft dough. Cover and rest it for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile to make filling heat oil in a pan add onions and saute for few minutes and add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw flavors disappear.

Now add all spice powders and saute for few seconds and add tomatoes,cook them well for few minutes on medium flame.

Now add chicken and saute well 3 to 4 minutes. Now add 1/2 cup of water and stir it. Cover and cook on medium flame until mixture turns dry.

Now finally add coriander leaves and remove from fire.

Now take some portion of dough,roll it into chapathi by dusting some flour.

Now take a pan drizzle tea spoon of oil and place rolled chapathi on it.fry on both sides and take into a plate.

Now beat an egg and pour this on same pan and spread it evenly and put the chapathi over it and roast it well.

Now take roasted chapathi in a plate, spread some chicken mixture,sprinkle some onions,squeeze some lemon juice,roll it tightly and serve.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute it

Now add salt and other spice powders and saute for few seconds

Now add tomatoes

Cook them well

Now add boneless chicken(cut into small pieces)

Saute well

Add some water and cook on medium flame by covering the lid

Stir until mixture gets dry

Remove from fire

Now take some portion of dough and roll it

Now heat pan and drizzle some oil

Place rolled chapathi

Fry on both sides and take into a plate

Now beat an egg

Heat some oil in same pan

Pour beaten egg

Now place chapathi over it

Now roast it on both sides

Take it into a plate

Now put some chicken mixture

Sprinkle some onions

Squeeze some lemon juice

Roll it tightly

It's done now

Serve!!!!

EGG WRAP/KOLKATA EGG ROLL RECIPE


Egg roll is a popular street food in Kolkata. Roti or chapathi coated with egg and loaded with fresh veggies and sauces then wrapped in parchment paper or aluminum foil. Making this egg  roll is pretty simple. If you have leftover chapathi then you can easily make them.Tastes really , really awesome. I really love this egg roll a lot. Infact these egg rolls became my favorite snack. Infact kids love them a lot.

      I highly recommend you to try this recipe atleast once. You can serve this in breakfast, in tea time or any time .
You need just handful of ingredients to make this recipe.

Ingredients :

All purpose flour/maida : 2 cups (I used half Maida and half wheat flour)
eggs : 4 to 5
tomato sauce : 1 tea spoon per roll
Green chilly sauce : 1/2 tea spoon
chat masala as per your taste
oil : as needed
Finely sliced cucumber : 1
finely sliced carrot : 1
finely sliced onions : 2 (Medium)
Salt to taste

Method :

First take flour add salt mix well. Add water and knead as chapathi dough and rest it for 10 to 15 minutes.

Now divide dough into equal portions roll into chapathi and put it on hot pan fry on both sides and take into a plate

Now add tea spoon of oil beat one egg by adding pinch of salt and add this to hot pan and spread it evenly

Now put chapathi on egg and cook on medium flame for few seconds roast it well and take into a plate

Now put veggies in middle top with chilly sauce and tomato sauce sprinkle some chat masala roll it and wrap in parchment paper and serve.

Note : You can use tomato sauce and chilly sauce as per your taste

You can add veggies as per your taste. So, I have not given correct measurements.

You can also add chopped green chillies and sprinkle some lemon juice if you are not giving to your kids.

Take flour and salt mix it

Make a soft dough

Spread some oil and roll into chapathi


Heat pan, place chapathi


Fry on both sides by adding oil and take into a plate

Beat an egg


Add to hot pan and spread it

Place chapathi on top

Roast on both sides by adding oil

Take this into plate

Take veggies

Place them in middle

Top with  tomato sauce

Top with chilly sauce

Sprinkle chat masala

Roll it tightly


Wrap with parchment paper and serve

Yummy egg roll is ready!!!!!
