EASY FISH CURRY RECIPE/NELLORE CHEPALA PULISU 2 RECIPE





Hi friends...... happy Friday....... today I’m going to share authentic fish pulusu recipe. As I have already mentioned about this recipe in my Nellore chepala pulusu post. Today finally I’m sharing our tasty fish curry recipe with you all. This process is so simple and easy. No to saute or stirring is required in this recipe.you just add all ingredients and cook it well and your tasty pulusu is ready. This pulusu tastes great with white rice, dosa and apam.

Ingredients :


Any fish pieces : 1.5 kg
Tamarind : 100 grams
Raw mango : 1
Medium tomatoes : 4
Medium onions : 2
Garlic cloves : 5
Spotted green chili : 4
Curry leaves : 3 to 4 strings
Chopped coriander leaves :2 table spoons
Coriander powder : 2 table spoons
Chilli powder : 1 1/2 table spoons 
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoons
Roasted cumin seeds : 1 tea spoons
Roasted fenugreek seeds : 1 tea spoons 
Black pepper corns : 2 tea spoons 
Oil : 100ml
Salt to taste

Method :


First soak tamarind for 20 minutes, squeeze out the juice and keep a side.

Now take onions, garlic cloves, 2 tomatoes , pepper corns, cumin and fenugreek seeds in a blender and blend into a fine paste  without adding water.

Now take fish pieces in a wide heavy bottom vessel and add blended paste 


Now add tamarind juice and all other ingredients, mix it well and add 500ml of water and mix it well.

NoW add oil and raw mango pieces and put on fire.

Cook on high flame until gravy thickens. Don’t stir with ladle, just lift the vessel and shake it for a while. You should shake it only for 2 or 3 times while cooking. 

Now, when oil floats on top simmer the flame and cook for 5 minutes and remove from fire and serve.

Take onions,two tomatoes and garlic in a blender

Add peppercorns, roasted fenugreek. Cumin seeds

Blend into a paste

Now take fish pieces in wide and heavy bottom vessel

Add blended paste

Add salt and turmeric powder

Add coriander and turmeric powder

Add remaining tomatoes

Add curry leaves and green chillies

Add tamarind juice

Mix it well

Add water as required and mix it well

Now add raw mango slices

Add oil

Now put this vessel on fire

Cover and cook


When gravy thickens add some coriander leaves and simmer for 5 minutes and remove from fire

Now fish pulusu. ready to serve

FISH CUTLETS RECIPE/FISH PATTIES RECIPE



Baking cakes and cupcakes from morning, because tomorrow is my darling daughter rida's birthday!!!!!! She want distribute cupcakes in her school which are made by me. I said "ok done". She is very excited and me too!!!! Will sure share that birthday cake recipe with you all.

     Ok, now coming to today's recipe, yesterday made these yummy fish cutlets which tastes really awesome. Process is also so easy to make. Perfect to serve them as starters or as tea time snacks.

Ingredients :

Boneless fish : 400 grams (any boneless fish can be used)
boiled and peeled potatoes : 200 grams
Finely chopped onions : 1 (large)
chopped green chilly : 1
Chopped coriander leaves : 1/2 cup
Pepper powder : 1 tea spoon
Chilly powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Garam masala powder : 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 2 tea spoons
Oil : 2 tea spoons
Oil for deep frying
eggs : 2 (beaten)
Bread crumbs : 1 cup or as needed
Salt to taste
Lemon juice : 2 tea spoons
Ginger garlic paste : 1 1/2 tea spoons

Method :

First boil fish in water for few minutes, drain water and take into a bowl, then shred it.

Now add boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes, salt and lemon juice mix it well and keep it a side.

Now take a pan add 2 tea spoons of oil add onions and green chillies ,saute until they changes into golden color

Now add ginger garlic paste and saute until Rae flavors disappear

Now add all spice powders and Coriander leaves then saute for few seconds on medium heat.

Now add mashed fish and potato mixture and saute for couple of minutes and remove from fire.

Now let the mixture cool completely then take small portions of fish mixture and make patties, dip them in beaten egg then roll in bread crumbs and drop them in hot oil.

Fry on both sides in medium to high flame. On both sides ,take them into a plate and serve.

Boil fish and take into a bowl

Shred fish pieces

Add mashed potatoes

Squeeze lemon

Mix it and keep a side



Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a while

Add all spice powders

Add coriander leaves

Saute for few seconds

Add mashed fish mixture

Stir it well, saute for couple of minutes

Remove from fire and let it cool completely

Beat eggs in a bowl and keep a side

Make patties like this

You can make any shape as per your choice

Dip in beaten eggs

Roll them in bread crumbs

Now drop them in hot oil on both sides

Take them into a plate

NELLORE CHEPALA PULUSU RECIPE/NELLORE FISH PULUSU RECIPE


Hi,today I'm feeling very happy and proud to share my home town nellore's most popular chepala pulusu (fish curry). Nellore is located in coastal Andhra which is very popular for chepala pulusu and many more. Yeah..... My nellore is very popular for chepala pulusu in Andhra and as well as in telangana. I wanted to share this recipe from quite long time.we prepare fish curry  only on Friday, on Friday I will be very busy, so I couldn't take pics. But some how today I managed to take these pics and I couldn't stop my self from posting today.

          Nellore chepala pulusu tastes very spicy, tangy and yummy. We make fish pulusu in two ways this is original recipe for nellore chepala pulusu. I have another easy method of making fish pulusu which we call " machhi ka khatta" in our language. Will share that recipe some other time. Coming to this recipe it so simple and easy process. Special addition to this pulusu is raw mango, yes if raw mango is available in market I highly recommend you to add raw mango in your fish pulusu.this fish curry tastes great with white rice and dosa.

Ingredients :

Fish pieces : 1 kg
Tamarind : 100 grams
Medium tomatoes : 5 to 6 (blend 2 tomatoes into puree)
roughly sliced Medium onions : 2
Medium raw mango : 1
green chillies : 3
curry leaves : 4 strings
Coriander leaves : 1/2 cup
Chilly powder : 2 table spoons
Coriander powder : 2 table spoons
turmeric powder : 1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds/aavaalu: 1 tea spoon
fenugreek seeds/mentulu : 1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds/jeelakara : 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste

For tempering : 

Oil : 150 ml
Medium sliced onion : 1
curry leaves : 2 strings
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon

Method :

First soak tamarind in water for 15 minutes then squeeze and take out the juice by adding some water.

Now dry roast cumin seeds,mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds until they crackle, let it cool for some time and blend into a fine powder and keep a side

Now take fish pieces in big bowl add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, blended spice powder and salt mix it well.

Now add tomato puree, onions,green chillies, curry leaves, roughly sliced tomatoes and raw mango pieces. Add tamarind juice then pour 4 to 5 cups of water 

Now for tempering heat oil in a wide pan add mustard seeds let them crackle then add remaining ingredients saute for few seconds and add prepared fish masala sprinkle coriander leaves cover and cook until gravy becomes thick.lift vessel in between and shake it gently.

When gravy becomes thick simmer the flame and cook for 5 to 10 minutes and remove fire and serve hot.

Note : Don't put any spatula to stir gravy. Just lift the vessel carefully gently shake it to avoid burning.


Soak tamarind in water

Take fish pieces add chilly powder

Add coriander powder

Add turmeric powder

Take mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds

Dry roast them

Blend into a fine powder

Add blended spice powder

Add salt

Mix it well

Add tomato puree

Add tomatoes, green chillies, curry leaves and onions
Squeeze tamarind juice


Add tamarind juice to fish

Take raw mango peel and slice it

Add sliced mango pieces mix it well

Add water and mix it

Now heat oil in a wide pan add mustard seeds

Add remaining tempering ingredients

Saute for few seconds

Add prepared fish masala

Add coriander leaves

Cover and cook


Don't use spatula to stir curry, just lift vessel carefully and shake it gently



Shake gently in between
Simmer the flame and cook for few minutes

Now it's ready remove from f and serve.

Yummy nellore chepala pulusu is ready
